Restoration
and Regeneration: The Old Bothy
In starting
Envirowork Lewisham a base had to be found. The old derelict 'Bothy' in
Hilly Fields was suitable but quite a challenge as it had attracted anti-social
elements and was in bad repair. Lewisham now has an asset instead of a
liability on its books.

The Bothy (Old Park-keepers Hut/Small Building - Gaelic) in Hilly
Fields, was a derelict, burnt out, drug den and a worthless eyesore.

events such as the Hilly Fields Farmers Market. The building
is now one of Envirowork Lewishams offices and is an asset on
Lewishams portfolio.

The Old
Bothy yard was cleared and improved to encourage privacy and foundations
were laid for extending the buildings in the future.
