Envirowork
Lewisham in partnership with Glendale has taken on some of the management
of Hilly Fields which has been well received by the users. It also provides
training opportunities for Trainees.
A
Trainee trims some felled suckering poplar next to the turf training
area. Training was also given in lightweight tree felling.
Railings
built by Trainees, by the steps in Hilly Fields Nature Reserve. Rails
were made of the felled poplar twenty metres away, a sustainable source
of wood.

Trainees
in the Shaded Garden removing chickweed and goosegrass (which smothers
and detracts from the bulb display). Railings were painted by Trainees
earlier.
